Electricity Tariffs (Temporary Charges) – 2026

 

The Utility Regulatory Authority (URA) wishes to inform the public that, following the tariff petition submitted by the Central Electricity Board (CEB), temporary charges for electricity services have been authorised by the Authority pursuant to sections 26 and 28(4)(a) of the Electricity Act 2005 pending a final tariff determination.

 

The Electricity Tariffs (Temporary Charges) – 2026 have been published in the Government Gazette Extraordinary No. 29 of 2026 dated 30 April 2026 and became effective as from 01 May 2026.

 

The approved temporary charges reflect an interim adjustment within the existing tariff structure and remain subject to the Authority’s ongoing tariff determination process.
